Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It covers the technical and legal limits on using the platform, as distinct from the behavioural rules in the Community Guidelines.

2. Prohibited activity

• Scraping, crawling or bulk-downloading content except as permitted by our robots.txt, or with our prior written consent.
• Automated posting, bulk account creation, or circumventing rate limits, the content filter, or any suspension.
• Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the platform, or breaching authentication, without a written agreement with us.
• Distributing malware, phishing pages, or links to illegal goods or services.
• Uploading content you do not have the rights to, including pirated software, leaked builds, or assets under a licence that forbids redistribution.
• Using the platform to publish content that is unlawful in the jurisdiction where you are, or where the content is received — including material that sexualises minors and content inciting terrorism.
• Sending unsolicited commercial messages to members, or harvesting member details for that purpose.
• Misrepresenting your identity or your affiliation with any person or company.
• Interfering with the operation of the service, or imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

3. Fair use of resources

We apply rate limits to sign-in attempts, reports, posts and chat messages to keep the service available for everyone. Limits are set well above normal human use. If you need higher limits — for example for a legitimate research project — contact us and we will consider it in writing.

4. Security research

We welcome good-faith research and will not pursue legal action against researchers who: stay within their own accounts, avoid accessing or deleting other members’ data, avoid disrupting the service, report findings promptly to uie_com@foxmail.com, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before publishing.

5. Consequences

Breaking this policy can lead to content removal, restriction of features, suspension or a permanent ban, and — for unlawful activity — referral to law enforcement. Where our legitimate interests are affected, we reserve the right to bring civil proceedings.
