Community Guidelines

1. What this place is for

SavePace exists so that people making things can talk honestly about the work: what is going well, what is not, which tools are worth the money, and what they are shipping next. Criticism of the work and of the craft is welcome. Contempt for people is not.

2. We ask you to

• Give feedback the way you would want to receive it. “The tutorial lost me at step three because…” lands; “this is trash” does not.
• Assume a beginner might be reading. Answers that help someone two years behind you are the most valuable thing on the site.
• Stay on topic in rooms. Use the lobby for everything else.
• Say when you are sharing your own work. Self-promotion is fine; pretending a promo post is a question is not.
• Credit other people’s assets and code. Name the tool, the artist, the library, the licence.
• Disagree with the idea, not the person.

3. We do not allow

• Harassment — targeted insults, dogpiling, following someone between threads, sustained nitpicking intended to wear them down.
• Hate — attacking people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
• Threats and encouragement of violence, including “jokes” that a reasonable person would read as a threat.
• Sexual content involving minors, in any form, and any sexual content in spaces that are not clearly marked for adults. This is reported to the relevant authorities.
• Content that endangers minors, including grooming and attempts to move contact off the platform.
• Nudity and sexual content outside clearly labelled rooms.
• Graphic violence or gore beyond what is appropriate for a general audience.
• Encouraging self-harm or suicide, or describing methods. If you are struggling, please reach out to a local crisis line rather than to a forum.
• Sharing someone’s private information — real name, address, employer, phone number, or screenshots of private conversations.
• Impersonation of another person, a studio, or our moderators.
• Scams, phishing, and malware, including fake key generators, “free asset” packs that bundle executables, and crypto pitches.
• Pirated tools, cracked engines and leaked assets. Talking about how to acquire them is not allowed either.
• Spam and platform manipulation — bulk advertising, buying or selling accounts or followers, vote or reaction rings, automated posting.
• Evading enforcement — new accounts, or re-posting removed content, after a sanction.

4. How we enforce

Most situations are handled with the least severe step that solves the problem:

1. Automated flag — a filter marks content for a moderator. It usually stays visible and nothing happens to your account.
2. Warning — a moderator tells you which rule was broken and what to do differently.
3. Content removal — the post, comment, chat message or listing is hidden, with a reason and a link to appeal.
4. Feature restriction — for example, posting is paused while an issue is looked at.
5. Suspension — a temporary period, with a date.
6. Ban — permanent closure of the account, for serious or repeated breaches.

We always record a reason, notify you, and give you a route to appeal. We act immediately, without prior notice, on content that endangers a child, credible threats of violence, and other clearly unlawful material.

5. Reporting something

Every post, comment and chat message has a report link, and there is a general report form. Reports are anonymous to the person whose content is reported. You will get a reference number and an outcome notification.

6. If you think we got it wrong

Appeal from Moderation history in your settings. Explain what you think was misread — new context genuinely helps, and we overturn decisions when the reasoning does not hold. A different moderator reviews the appeal where we can arrange it.
